Opportunity
CafePress is an online marketplace allowing sellers to create personalized merchandise, ranging from apparel, to home and office accessories. This unique user-generated commerce platform has connected over 6.5 million members, who have created over 150 million unique products. CafePress manages millions of keywords across thousands of campaigns and several channels and accounts, and found that most tools couldn’t handle the complexity of their long tail SEM program.
 
Solution
Kenshoo outperformed in several categories.

CafePress had previously used two of the SEM industry’s most popular bid management platforms; however they were not satisfied with either solution. In January 2008 they opened up their SEM business in search of a new solution, and hosted a trial involving Kenshoo and two other leading SEM software providers. CafePress cited the tie between Bid Optimization, User Friendliness and scale as being inexplicably bound, and three of their major criteria for selecting a solution.
 
Results
Kenshoo strongly outperformed the other competitors based on performance in the following areas; User Friendliness, Scalability, Program Customization, Customer Service, Cross Channel Integration, Strong Rules Based Bidding, and their emphasis on Quality Management and Automation. All of CafePress’ SEM programs are now managed using Kenshoo Search. Kenshoo’s end-to-end Quality Management solution was the only tool able to handle the need of a constantly changing e- commerce dynamic environment.
